Celebrating Success: Felician University Nurses Shine Bright with ABSN Pinning Ceremony

Read about Felician University's commitment to excellence in nursing education.

In December 2023, the spotlight shone on 65 nurses at Felician University as they embraced a pivotal moment in their journey, receiving official pins during the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Pinning ceremony in Rutherford, NJ. These graduates, now integral contributors to Felician University’s rich legacy, follow in the footsteps of the Felician Sisters, the order of nurses and teachers who founded the institution. As they embark on their nursing careers, we extend our heartfelt wishes for success and fulfillment in their professional endeavors.

Adding to Felician University’s list of achievements is the recent recognition it received—the Equipment Leasing Fund (ELF) Grant from the New Jersey Office of Higher Education. This grant is poised to elevate the institution’s nursing simulation resources, providing students high-quality and realistic learning experiences. The infusion of cutting-edge equipment not only benefits the nursing labs in Rutherford and Parsippany but also underscores Felician University’s unwavering dedication to excellence in nursing education. Join us in celebrating the success of Felician University nurses as they pave the way for the future of healthcare.

Serving where needed since 1874

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
