Upcoming Mission Trips

Mission Internship in Haiti

Who
Adults over the age of 18 who are flexible, adventurous, and want to meet their brothers and sisters in Haiti.

What
Interns will spend time developing relationships with people in Jacmel, Haiti through after school programs for children, mobile clinics in the mountain villages outside of the city, and neighborhood visits. There will also be time for recreation at a beach in Jacmel where they will be able to swim and soak in the beautiful Caribbean Island landscape. Daily prayer, weekly formation, and community nights are also part of the experience. Interns will participate in a week-long retreat at the end of their experience (September 2020).

Cost
Food and drinks, lodging, and ground transportation in Haiti are all included in the cost.
Cost of airfare and any spending money are the responsibility of the volunteer.

When
September 7, 2019 - September 2020
Prior to departure there will be a 2 hour orientation with volunteers and Felician Volunteers in Ministry Staff to discuss logistics of the trip and answer any questions volunteers may have.

Interns must attend a mandatory week-long orientation in August.

Where
Interns will be staying and volunteering in Jacmel, Haiti and surrounding areas. Interns will stay in the St. Joseph Volunteer House at the Felician Sisters of North America’s Mission in Jacmel. Interns should fly into Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port au Prince Haiti and will be picked up by a staff person.
