Ukraine Crisis Fund

When Ukraine was invaded on Feb. 24, 2022, the Felician Sisters in Ukraine and Poland immediately began helping refugees with gifts of food and clothing, medicine and supplies, housing and transportation, comfort and prayer. From three different Felician provinces in Poland, hundreds of Felician Sisters offer aid to those affected by the war.

Sr. Maria Oksana Zhovnir, provincial councilor in Poland, writes,

“The elderly and children are the most affected by this war. Families who have suffered, losing their loved ones and all their possessions, still need support and help.”

Your gift will help extend the reach of love and compassion to this war-torn nation. 100% of all funds collected are sent to our Polish Provincial houses to directly benefit Ukrainians in need.

Serving where needed since 1874

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
