Every Creature is a Word of God and a Book of God

April 17 @ 10:00 am 2:00 pm EDT

$35 (includes lunch)

Presented by Sister Mary Jacqueline Keefe, CSSF and Br. Bill Carrothers, CFC

For the day, we will bring the celestial tapestry of stars, the bursting supernovas, spinning planets, shimmering Aurora Borealis, the millions of galaxies and so much more that dazzle our imaginations.  Can our minds conceive of this vastness?  Are our hearts large enough to cherish all of God’s majestic creation with humility and awe?

Sr. Jacquie Keefe, Co-Director of Jericho House, focuses on Youth/Adult Leadership, Social & Ecological Justice, and Spirituality. Collaborating with Br. Bill Carrothers, she ministers across Canada, the United States, and Europe. A member of the North American Province Formation Team, she’s a “GreenFaith Fellowship” graduate and has received the Franciscan Federation Award. Sr. Jacquie instructs teachers in the OECTA and co-authors programs for Jericho House Retreat Centre.

Br. Bill Carrothers, CFC, earned a Bachelor’s degree in History/Political Science from Iona College after joining the Congregation of Christian Brothers. He furthered his education with a Master’s degree in Political Science from Purdue University and another in Spirituality from Seattle University. After a year of teaching, he served as Principal at St. Thomas More Collegiate for six years. Additionally, he played key roles in the Christian Brothers of Canada’s Leadership Team, serving as Formation Director. Br. Bill is the founder of the CYTE Community/Ministry and co-directed Jericho House with Sr. Jacquie Keefe.

Serving where needed since 1874

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
