May Crowning in Livonia, Michigan

May Crowning in Livonia, Michigan

On Friday, May 1, during the daily video-broadcast of announcements from Holy Family Chapel in Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Convent to the Sisters quarantined in their rooms, the annual May Crowning was held.

As the hymns "On This Day, O Beautiful Mother" and "Bring Flowers of the Fairest" were sung, acting local minister Sr. Rosanne Marie Glaza crowned the statue of Our Lady.

The simple ceremony concluded with Blessed Mary Angela's Act of Consecration prefaced by a note that the Sisters are praying in solidarity with the bishops of Canada and the U.S. who re-consecrated these countries to Our Lady for all the victims and for deliverance from the coronavirus pandemic.
