Sr. Christine Marie Stankiewicz Celebrates her 50th Jubilee

Despite Covid-19 restrictions, Sr. Christine Marie Stankiewicz enjoyed a happy celebration of her 50 years as a Felician Sister.

On April 18, Sr. Christine Marie Stankiewicz celebrated her 50th jubilee as a Felician Sister. Though COVID-19 required her to make some adjustments to her plans, she was still able to mark the occasion at her home in Enfield, Connecticut.

Joined by Sr. Kathryn Marie Augustyniak and Sr. Patricia Marie Iagrosso, Sr. Christine Marie was treated to a festive dinner prepared by Dwight Chavis, the chef at Our Lady of the Angels Convent (OLA), where Sr. Christine Marie ministers. He also presented her with a bouquet of roses and lilies from her co-workers in the kitchen. Paul Montalto, another chef on the team, also surprised Sr. Christine Marie with a hand-crafted plaque commemorating her 50th Jubilee.

The Felician Sisters are grateful for Sr. Christine Marie’s 50 years of ministry. May God bless her as she celebrates this special milestone.

Serving where needed since 1874

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
